Breakout Session A: Life Insurance Settlements:  Benefitting Your Client…and You! (
Presented by Lisa Rehburg

500,000 seniors a year lapse their life insurance policies, according to a study the Insurance Studies Institute, and 90% of these same seniors would have considered a life insurance settlement had they known about them.  These same seniors are your members’ clients.  By attending this class, these agents and brokers will understand what a life insurance settlement is, the background behind them, and all of the details of how they work, in order to appropriately advise their clients.  Life insurance settlements are not an appropriate option for many people, but they can be “found money” for clients and a revenue opportunity for agents.  Agents do not need to be a life insurance expert, nor be the writing the agent on the life insurance policy, nor even need to write life insurance in order to help their clients, and themselves.

Discuss how an integrated delivery system can positively affect the delivery of services; health plan benefit design, and patient outcomes. Educate how an intergrade delivery environment can implement quality improvement and pay-for-performance models that reward providers.
