Balancing Care and Capacity: Managing Stress and Compassion Fatigue in the Medicare Field 

Chase Sterling is a workplace wellbeing expert and founder of Wellbeing Think Tank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, evidence-based education to support individual and organizational wellbeing. She also serves as Principal Consultant at HHP Cultures, helping employers implement strategies that foster health and performance. With over 20 years of experience, Chase has delivered hundreds of presentations to global audiences, including SHRM, IFEBPand NASA. Her background includes leadership roles at organizations such as Google, Cigna, and Wounded Warrior Project, and her research has been published in The American Journal of Health Promotion. Chase is a contributor to the Harvard Flourishing at Work program and represents the business sector on the U.S. National Physical Activity Plan. A U.S. Army veteran, she holds an MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, a BS in Exercise Science, and certifications in wellness, resilience, and mental health.



Chelsea Hammers, Director of Population Health, PacificSource Health Plans

Chelsea has a passion for bringing efficient and effective business solutions to the complicated clinical settings of the healthcare system. She has worked in Population Health leadership for the past six years, where she and her team work directly with provider groups on improving care outcomes for PacificSource and community members. Previously, she was a Clinic Manager at a multi-specialty group, so she fully understands the ins and outs of clinic operations, including barriers faced and enhanced workflows or strategies to overcome these barriers. Chelsea has always been passionate about living the values of PacificSource Health Plans and after nine years of being at this company, she maintains dedication to ensuring the member is always in the middle and the number one priority.



Eric Neria, National Distribution Manager, Wellcare
Transforming Your Insurance Practice into a Thriving Business

Eric Neria is the current National Distribution Manager for Wellcare in the West Region, assisting agency principals with high-level, strategic business planning.  With 22 years in the health insurance and financial services industry, both as a producer and sales leader, Eric’s primary focus has been in the Medicare space, having worked for PacifiCare/UnitedHealthcare, Blue Shield of California, and Wellcare.  Investing nearly the first half of his career serving the Medicare beneficiary, Eric leaned on those experiences to assist him with his newfound passion of developing career agents in 2011.  Seeking to improve agent longevity and the consumer experience, he has created a corpus of innovative and developmental curriculum aimed at transforming the agent thought process and equipping them to thrive in the ever-changing Medicare business market.  Eric resides in Southern California with his wife of 20 years, Tina, their 3 children, Sierra, Chloe, Dylan, and their Maltipoo, Sadie.  He is devout in his Christian faith, which serves as his guiding light and compass in life.  In his personal time, Eric is an avid sport fisherman and is heavily involved with his kid’s various sports.  He and his family cherish the time they have together and enjoy taking trips as often as they can.

Ethan Braught is a healthcare operations leader with over a decade of experience advancing value-based care, quality improvement, and Medicare Advantage strategy. As Regional Vice President at P3 Health Partners, he oversees risk adjustment and quality performance for more than 40,000 Medicare Advantage members across multiple states. Ethan is known for building high-impact provider partnerships and driving innovations that improve outcomes, enhance patient engagement, and reduce costs. He brings a strategic, data-driven perspective to healthcare transformation, with a passion for empowering brokers and stakeholders to navigate and lead in value-based care.



Jared Strickland, Regional Manager, Advocate Health Advisors 
Is CSNP the New DSNP?

Jared Strickland is a former Oregon church Pastor turned Medicare Regional Manager for Advocate Health Advisors. A successful former Medicare agent, Jared has excelled at growing successful Medicare agents and agencies throughout Oregon and Washington. He is a resident of Tualatin, a coach and father of two teenagers who are very active in local athletics.


Michael Andel, Vice President of Congressional Affairs, NABIP National 
NABIP National Update: Medicare at the Federal Level

Michael is a Vice President of Congressional Affairs at the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP). Michael has extensive experience in government relations in the private sector and Congress. Prior to joining NABIP, Michael was a Director of Federal Relations at Aflac. There, he advocated for access to employee benefits, including life, disability, dental, vision, and supplemental health insurance. Michael has also worked in the US House and Senate. He served as Chief of Staff for Congressman David Scott, where he successfully managed a full team of legislative and congressional casework experts and advised the Congressman on legislative and campaign matters. He also worked for Senator Max Cleland as a legislative assistant and deputy press secretary. Michael is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He enjoys travel and thinks every town has a unique story to share. He also attempts to unplug from electronic media by spending time outside in nature.
