GLP-1 Drugs: Practical Considerations for Employer Coverage

Glucagon like peptide receptor agonist (GLP-1ra) drugs are treatment options for patients with diabetes and obesity. This session will explore the science, the costs and benefits of GLP-1 use, and provide practical considerations for conversations with employers on coverage. Attendees will leave with an opportunity to discuss customer specific scenarios with presenters and their colleagues for employers considering coverage of GLP-1s.

A 2020 Pew Research study about cancel culture found that “49% of those familiar with the term said it describes actions people take to hold others accountable” yet many leaders and staff fear the term and action of being ‘cancelled.’ This session will focus on:
- understanding what microaggressions are and how they impact relationships
- practicing how to interrupt microaggressions to maximize learning and ensure we’re staying in relationship rather than canceling each other out.
