The NABIP Oregon Board of Directors is looking for motivated volunteers and leaders to help us pursue our mission of promoting access to quality care by a cooperative effort between consumers, agents, insurers, providers, the legal system and the government through effective legislation and educational programs.

Serving on the board often enriches the personal and professional lives of volunteers, and provides board members with the opportunity to meet accomplished industry professionals as well as network with up-and-coming talent.

Key points to consider when nominating candidates:

  • All NABIP Oregon members in good standing are eligible to submit names for consideration.
  • Nominated candidates should currently be NABIP Oregon in good standing or have completed NABIP National membership application and selected NABIP Oregon has their state chapter.
  • Self-nomination is permitted and encouraged.

The following positions are open for nomination:

Elected Positions

President-Elect (three-year term)
The President-Elect, in the absence of the President, shall preside at all meetings of this Association and the Board of Directors and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Directors.

Secretary (two-year term)
The Secretary shall keep the records of attendance and minutes of the Board of Directors.  He/she shall submit to the proper official and committees, or to the Association, all communications received from NAHU.

VP of Regions
The Regional Vice Presidents shall serve as a liaison between the members in a specific Region and the association’s Leadership and Staff.  

Awards Chair (one-year term)
The Awards Chair is responsible for successfully track and submit required data, activity, and milestones of the chapter in alignment with Awards Criteria provided by NAHU.

Membership & Retention
The Membership & Retention Chair is responsible for recruiting and retaining national and state membership.  They also provide support for membership drives, socials and other efforts to recruit and retain association members.

Professional Development

Convention Chair (one-year term)
The Convention Chair is responsible for the planning and execution of the OAHU Annual Convention.


Appointed Positions

Per NABIP Oregon Bylaws, Article X, Section 2: The President shall appoint the chairs and members of all standing, special or ad hoc committees and task forces, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Treasurer (one-year term)
The Treasurer shall be responsible for receiving all funds and dues paid to this Association.  The Treasurer shall chair the Budget Committee as appointed by the President and shall submit an Annual Budget for adoption by the Board of Directors by the first meeting of the fiscal year.

CEO Roundtable Chair (one-year term)
This Chair is responsible for the planning and execution of the CEO Roundtable held in February.

Medicare Summit Chair (one-year term)
This Chair is responsible for the planning and execution of the Medicare Summit held in the Summer.

Golf Tournament Chair (one-year term)
This Chair is responsible for the planning and execution of the golf tournament held in July in Albany, Oregon
