During this event, OAHU members will attend sessions about current legislative priorities and learn about ways to become involved in the legislative process. Legislative Day also provides an opportunity for members to meet with legislators and begin to form relationships with those who represent our members at the State level.

• 10:00 am: Opening remarks

• 10:10 – 10:45 am: Josh Lehner, Office of Economic Analysis, will discuss the Economic & Revenue Forecast released this week, particularly implications for small/medium businesses, and take Q&A.

• 10:45 – 11:00: Sen. Tim Knopp, R-Bend, Vice Chair of the Senate Health Committee.
• 11:00 - 11:15 am: Sen. Deb Patterson, D-Salem, Chair of the Senate Health Committee
• 11:15 – 11:30 am: Rep. Rob Nosse, D-Portland (near SE), Co-Chair of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Services, which oversees the Health Authority’s budget
• 11:30 – 11:40 am: Break
• 11:45 – Noon: Rep. Rachel Prusak, D-West Linn, Chair of the House Health Committee
• Noon – 12:15 pm: Rep. Ron Noble, R-McMinnville, Member of the House Health Committee
• 12:15 – 12:45 pm: Jesse O’Brien, Senior Policy Advisor, Dept. of Consumer & Business Services. Jesse will discuss/Q&A on what DCBS views as high-priority health insurance-related legislation.
