Welcome to the OAHU website!  Your Oregon Association of Health Underwriters (OAHU) board is committed to providing you with productive and fun opportunities to gain the critical knowledge that you need to be a key player in our industry.  During today’s rapidly changing times, it’s important to know where to find information you can trust.  Your board, as well as our National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) is committed to providing you the resources you need.  TheOAHUsite provides State Regulatory updates when the Legislature is in session and NAHU provides many materials related to national healthcare reform.  I recommend visiting these sites regularly to better understand our ever changing world of health care coverage. 

As I begin my second year as your OAHU State Board President, I’d like thank you for continuing your trust in our entire board.  We appreciate this opportunity to serve you.  We understand that we are taking on an important role managing this Association, and we promise to do our very best to make your membership valuable.  In order to do this, we need your help.  Please talk openly and frequently with your board members about what you most value and need from us.  You can find our contact information here on our website. 

I’d like to thank those of you who have stepped up and are actively participating on the OAHU Legislative Committee.  If you are not participating today, we encourage you to lend your voice and participate.  The Legislative Committee actively discusses the issues and regularly hosts guests from our State Legislature.  There’s no better way to fully understand and influence these issues.  If you can’t attend the meetings, be sure to read our updates which are available on our website.  Please let one of our board members know if you would like more information about the Legislative Committee meetings.

Your membership in our Association is important.  The stronger our membership, the stronger our voice!  Our Association provides legislative advocacy, professional development, networking opportunities and so much more.  If you have colleagues that have not yet joined our Association, please encourage them to join today.  Thank you for being a part of something so great!
